Apple transformed a variety of spaces in Downtown Brooklyn for a very special announcement- one that marks the first time the company has shown off new hardware at an event on the East Coast since 2002. For years, Apple unveiled its products reasonably close to its Cupertino headquarters. This special event unveiled Apple’s “most creative products,” including the new MacBook Air, MacMini, and iPad Pro. The main event streamed live from the Howard Gilman Opera House (part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music), and followed with events at the newly opened Apple store (across the street) and nearby One Hansen place, a historical beaux-arts bank building, whose iconic clock tower adorns the Brooklyn skyline. Keynote guests were invited to demo the newly announced products amongst press, and Apple executives, and team members.
